"Your account balance: adding funds and paying from balance"
Your Globalia account has a balance in US dollars. You can add money to it ahead of time and spend it on eSIMs and top-ups.
Add funds
- Sign in and open your account.
- Choose Add funds (or tap your balance).
- Pick an amount, or enter your own, and pay.
- By card: the minimum is $5.
- With crypto: any amount. You choose the coin and network, then send the exact amount shown within 30 minutes.
There is a maximum per payment, shown on the page.
Adding funds only puts money on your balance. To add data to an eSIM, top up that eSIM afterwards.
Pay from your balance
- Top-ups: on your order page, the top-up section shows how much of your balance can be used for eSIM data. Choose a package and pay from your balance. If the balance is short, the page tells you how much to add.
- New eSIMs: where the plan checkout offers Pay from account balance, you can buy the plan with it.
Your balance also pays for phone numbers and for calls from your browser.
Other money that lands on your balance
- Small card payments: card payments have a $5 minimum. When a plan or top-up costs less and you pay by card while signed in, you are charged $5 and the difference stays on your balance. The checkout tells you before you pay.
- A failed top-up paid from your balance: if the data can't be added, the payment goes back to your balance.
