Frequently asked questions
Yes, when you have an active Globalia Number that supports SMS. The capabilities shown before purchase tell you whether a number can send and receive text messages.
Not currently. Personal-number verification is for caller ID on eligible outgoing calls. SMS in Globalia uses an active, SMS-capable Globalia Number.
No. SMS uses your Globalia Number through the web or supported app. You only need an internet connection, an active SMS-capable number, and enough Globalia Credits for outgoing messages.
The cost depends on the destination and the number of SMS segments in the message. Long texts, emoji, and some special characters can use more segments. The charge is taken from Globalia Credits; carrier-rejected messages are not charged.
Some services accept codes on virtual numbers and others block them. Delivery of OTP, short-code, or two-factor messages depends on the sender and carrier, so Globalia cannot guarantee every verification message.
Your conversations are organized by number in the Globalia Messages view. You can review incoming and outgoing texts, timestamps, and delivery status from the same account.
