I deleted my eSIM. Can I install it again?

Before you delete an eSIM

Please do not delete an eSIM to fix a connection problem unless our support team asks you to. Once it is deleted, it may not be possible to get it back, and a replacement is not guaranteed. If you are thinking of removing it, contact support first.

If you just want to stop using it for a while, turn the line off instead:

If you already deleted it

Whether it can be installed again depends on the eSIM:

  • Some eSIMs can be installed again on the same phone, with the original QR code or manual details, while the plan is still valid.
  • Others cannot be installed again once they have been deleted.
  • An eSIM that has expired or used all its data cannot be installed again.

Your order page shows what each eSIM allows next to it, for example "This eSIM can be reinstalled only on the same phone".

If your eSIM can be reinstalled on the same phone:

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  2. Install it from the same QR code or manual details, the same way as the first time.
  3. If the phone says the eSIM cannot be added or the code is no longer valid, stop and contact support. Scanning again will not help.

New phone?

Most eSIMs cannot be moved to a different phone once they have been installed. Read our article on moving your eSIM to a new phone before you switch phones or reset your phone.

If your eSIM cannot be reinstalled, you will need a new one. Contact support and we will check what is possible for your order.
