How do I check how much data I have left?
On your order page
Sign in to your account and open your order. Each eSIM shows how much data is used and how much is left, and when that figure was last updated. Just after you buy, it may say it's waiting for a sync.
On a plan with a phone number, the order page in your account also shows how many minutes and texts you have left.
Why it can differ from your phone
We read your usage from the mobile network and refresh it regularly, but the network's own count can run behind, sometimes by a few hours. Your phone's counter is live, but it may count slightly differently or include data used before your plan. Treat both as a guide, and top up before you run out rather than at the last minute.
Your phone's own counter
- Open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Scroll down to the data usage section. If you have more than one line, choose the Globalia eSIM.
- The figure counts from the last time the statistics were reset. To count from the start of your plan, tap Reset Statistics at the bottom when you install the eSIM.
- Samsung: Settings > Connections > Data usage > Mobile data usage, then choose the eSIM.
- Pixel and most others: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, choose the eSIM, then tap App data usage.
Usage emails
If we have your email address, we email you when your eSIM reaches 50%, 75%, 90%, 95% and 100% of its data. On plans with a daily high-speed allowance, we let you know when the day's allowance is used up; data keeps working at a lower speed until it resets. These alerts use the same figures from the network, so they can arrive a little after you pass each mark.
You can turn usage emails off, or back on, for each order on its order page.
Running low? You may be able to add data to the same eSIM.
