Will I keep the same number after a top-up or when my plan ends?
Yes, as long as you top up in time. Your number stays the same after a top-up, and for 90 days after your plan ends.
The 90-day rule
- A top-up bought before your plan ends keeps the same number. A short plan topped up with a longer package keeps it for the whole new package.
- When your plan ends, the number is held for 90 days. Buy a top-up within those 90 days and you keep it.
- After 90 days with no active plan, the number goes back to the network and can be given to someone else. A top-up after that comes with a new number.
How long you can still top up
- Global+: top-ups are accepted for up to 180 days after the plan ends. Between day 90 and day 180, the top-up works but comes with a new number.
- USA+: the same as Global+, up to 180 days, with a new number after day 90.
- UK+: the same as Global+, up to 180 days, with a new number after day 90.
- Israel+ and Netherlands+: top-ups are accepted for up to 90 days after the plan ends, the same 90 days the number is held.
The simplest way to keep your number: top up your eSIM before your plan ends.
Also keep in mind
- The number belongs to this eSIM, not to your account. It can't be moved to another eSIM.
- Keep the eSIM on your phone. An installed eSIM can't be moved to another phone, and a new eSIM comes with a new number.
- Don't rely on a travel number for accounts you'll need long after your trip, such as your bank. Once a number is recycled, texts sent to it reach its next owner.
